What to expect…
Hi again,
We are firmly into the autumnal weather, the season of change, the shedding of old and a time to turn inwards. What better time to build on reflection skills and quietly prepare for new beginnings than right now, the time where it’s ok to rest before the busy-ness of the winter and Christmas season.
Time to take stock.
Let go whatever needs letting go of and spend time cosying into that which will improve your life and wellbeing.
So grab that cup of tea,
And read on to see what to expect from The Self & Society in the coming months and beyond.
I feel like I’m home when Autumn comes to visit. I think our own expectations drop when Summer is well and truly out. The ongoing internal dialogue is no longer consumed by thoughts of the beach or the park, a ‘healthy’ lunch or something beige and convenient, and where in the world are we meant to squeeze in some time to just switch off when bedtime is not determined by when it is dark out. Don’t get me wrong, it is still there lurking and waiting to pounce at any sniff of self-criticism but it doesn’t feel quite as gnarly.
Autumn - downtime, quiet time, rest, reflection. But also growth. We can’t come to bloom if time is not spent nurturing the right parts of ourselves while the time, space and pace allow for it.
Summer bodies are made in Winter.
And so the Spring Mindset is made in Autumn.
Your wellbeing doesn’t reach new highs over night but over the course of weeks and months if you are committed to nurturing this part of you.
With workshops, courses and individual sessions available with The Self & Society, there are a variety of options to support your wellbeing whether you prefer a tailored and intimate approach through one to one work or like to move at your own pace with courses. Alternatively, you might like to engage with a variety of people who are on the same journey as yourself with workshops.
The Self & Society has big plans but just like Rome, it can’t all be created in one day, as much as I’d like to achieve this.
However, as I write this, the first workshop I’ll be facilitating live and in person has been sold out. I am so very excited and am in the midst of completing the talk, slides, workbook and goodies that all the lovely mothers are going to receive.
Mother.
Nurturer. Guide. Supporter. Protector.
The hand and heart that holds others in such tenderness and love…
& yet, can hold herself with such judgement and criticism.
Bringing back that Mama Bear energy for our families and our inner child…
This workshop will be everything that I needed at a time when I was not yet a mother but everything I did and do since becoming a mother. If this is something you are interested in learning more about, place your interest and keep an eye on your inbox for more live dates or for the online course. I can’t wait to share how it all goes.
Maybe you like to explore your inner world a little more independently…
well then, you might like to keep updated with digital products.
Not one to just take on one task at a time, The Self & Society will also be launching a range of digital products to support you as and when you need them. Topics from resilience, self-awareness, recovery from adverse childhood to attachment and moving forward in life, there will be a breadth of information, tasks, exercises and tools to help you in your own time. Just register to your interest here to learn more when they’ll be released…there may even be a special discount for those who are on the list.
And finally, for now…
The Blog will house everything from my own experiences, personally and professionally, to further information on products and services and even recommendations of products, people and organisations that are doing epic work in the world of personal development and wellbeing.
I don’t keep the good stuff to myself and will always promote the work of others when our values align and I truly believe in their cause and purpose.
Anyways, there is a lot to do and I best get back to it. My coffee has gone cold but sure that’s life. I’ve enjoyed my little time just typing out my plans so you can know what to expect.
I almost forgot…
